well it's been a busy week: cheerleading, etsy-mini parties, building my pretend dream home.

  8. I'm so jealous of your "Donne" book! I've been trying to find a nice one for years.

    Right now I'm trying to devour "The Autobiography of Henry VIII". It's only 1000 pages long. Haha, oh well.

    by Kathryn Kuitenbrouwer
    for my book club right now. A few chapters in and I love it so far. The author is going to visit our discussion so it should be fun.

    Tears of the Giraffe (The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency Series #2) by Alexander McCall Smith

    I got a nook a few weeks ago and I love reading my books that way.

  11. Just a magazine, Marie Claire Idées is a craft magazine in French, the mags is beautiful and lots of handy tips. But the most important things is in French so I can force myself to improve my french, is not funny now my 5 years old speaks much better French than me!:)

  13. I'm reading "The knot book" - an introduction to knot theory (a subfield of mathematical topology), and again Asterios Polyp - a comic novel by Mazzucchelli (best comic novel ever for me)

  16. Reading _A Conspiracy of Kings_ by Megan Whelan Turner (who also wrote _The Thief_, which someone above me mentioned). So amazing. I write in this genre, and...there are just some authors that intimidate me because they are WAY TOO GOOD. Yes, she is one. No, I cannot wait to spend Saturday finishing this up.

    I'm also reading Dot Robot by Jason Bradbury its supposed to be a children's book but I can't put it down!

  19. I'm reading 'Creativity for Life' by Eric Maisel (awesome book!) and just starting 'Barney's Version' by Mordecai Richler. Read it years ago and loved it.

  21. I'm rereading "100 years of Solitude" for a new book club we've started at work and I LOVE it AGAIN!

    That's not always the case when I revisit works.

    Interesting to see what everyone is reading. Great idea!

  23. I love murder and mayhem, fantasy and scifi - and not afraid to admit it! definitely for escape, not for edification. Currently, J.R.Ward brotherhood book (vampires and lots of sex-eek), next P.D. Cast Hunted(vampires) and then new Sookie book. and yes I have bad dreams.

I've recently written a post about it (http://thirdst.blogspot.com/2010/05/paradoxical-spring-slow-down.html) and plan to do a geeky self motivated bloggy book report once I'm all done.
