....................................

have a magical movie character that you dream to star as?
here are my 3, cuties.
..............
michelle yeoh as yu shu-lien
.........
how about me as Yu Shu-lien in crouching tiger, hidden dragon?! action packed movie, beautiful scenery, great love story. i'm in! i loved michelle yeoh's spirited portrayal of this heroine and just think of all those fun flying-thru-the air scenes!
..........
julie andrews as maria von trapp
..........
next... me as maria von trapp in the movie: the sound of music
i've dreamed of being this character since i was a wee little singer-around-the-house-er.
i mean ... twirling in the alps.
singing around austria.
making a whole family of outfits out of curtains?!
kissing young christopher plummer.
that's a role i'd REALLY like! :)
..........
jennifer ehle as elizabeth bennet
..................
my final dream character to be:
elizabeth bennet in pride & prejudice.
she's delightful & admirable.
and just to seal the deal ... three words ...
courting mr. darcy.
:)
*sigh*

HAHA!
ReplyDeleteI would be Ada McGrath (Holly Hunter's role) in the Piano. So powerful and I adore that movie.
and
Amelie - the character Audrey Tautou popularized. She's clever and makes so very many great eye movements! L>
Can't think of a third. Thank you for the FUN!
oooh - those are good ones, elyse. i just love amelie! you'll be the perfect her! :)
ReplyDeleteOh yes, Amelie!
ReplyDeleteAlso Molly Ringwald's role in Sixteen Candles, just to get revenge for those junior high years, and Katherine Hepburn in The Aviator (as played by Cate Blanchett), to be a svelte, well-dressed, successful film beauty.
Can I be Yu Shu-lien and still get delicious Mr. Darcy? If not, than I want to be James Bond.
ReplyDeletexo
I have to agree with Amelie - I love that character.
ReplyDeleteI would also like to play Sally Owens in Practical Magic (who wouldn't want to have powers like that!) and Summer in 500 days of summer (I would love clothes like that).
My favorites would be Catwoman and Lara Croft.
ReplyDeleteAnd anything with Zooey Deschanel!
ooh these are good ones, cuties!
ReplyDeletehilary - i'm with ya on those
and fringe - i think your combo suggestion is the perfect one. i noticed my choices all revolved around the men they kissed! alas! :)
but james bond- good one!
and good point - itchin' - superpowers are the way to go!
Okay! I have my 3 film characters ready!
ReplyDelete1. Trinity (Carrie Ann Moss) in Matrix 1 and 2.
And as if this needs justifying: Gorgeous, dressed in Vivian Westwood, gets Keanue and no-one can mess with her!
2. Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) in Terminator2 (Judgement Day) for similar reasons.
3.Kathleen Kelly (Meg Ryan) in You've Got Mail because I love that movie and her in it.....
Mine are:
ReplyDeleteTrinity in "The Matrix", Nikita in "La Femme Nikita" and Buffy in "Buffy, The Vampire Slayer".
hmmm...I think there's a theme here. 8-)
Sally Bowles in Cabaret. I can sing and dance like Liza...
ReplyDeleteMaria in West Side Story...
and one of the Bond girls in any of the Sean Connery movies. :-)
(I'm mostly a musical girl until you get to sex!) LOL
