I would like to nominate my Daddy's Shirt Dress. I designed and debuted these last spring just in time for Father's Day. I take a man's dress shirt and turn them into a beautiful halter dress or top. I can use a shirt from my own stash but most of my customers have brought me a shirt that was really Daddy's or Grandpa's or Uncles. One of the most meaningful ones I have made was for a sweet little girl who's 26 year old Daddy tragically died in a car accident...she was 4. It was a very emotional project for me and took my design to a whole new level.

You can see pictures from a photo shoot we did at: http://www.facebook.com/mrsbsaccessories?v=photos#!/album.php?aid=190162&id=157868766662

Love your blog, BTW. :)

I vote for Mrs. B's Accessories Daddy Shirt Dress. She made my daughter a shirt that was my grandfathers who's been gone 20 years now. I recently found a picture of my grandfather wearing that shirt ... my needle in a hay stack find. Although my daughter, 2 years old, never met him, it means a great deal to me to me and my grandmother to see him through her. Thank You Mr.s B for keeping my grandfathers memory alive again!

Hello, I'm very happy to nominate this loveable slug plush from Kristin at klt:works. Her blog is jam packed with wonderful stuff for the happy, handmade culture and is very big on kids, play and more. I love the mobiles too, but slug is my favourite. A great, original shop!

http://www.etsy.com/listing/67255660/ditte-slug-lovey-plush-marimekko-fabric?ref=pr_shop

I think any child would love a cuddle of this cutie and I'm a big fan of Marimekko too.

As for me, well, I would love to have my Shapes and Things Lampshade considered for this fab award. This is my most popular children's lampshade to date. It has a parade of things for little ones to identify all around it and plenty of shapes to enjoy too! I'd just be grateful even for a sneek peek!

I would like to nominate Daria's amazing shoes she makes for babies/kids in this category. Her colors are happy & her designs are thoughtful & well made. http://www.etsy.com/listing/45200066/wawa-blue-booties-pure-wool-felt-baby
La La shoes are the kind of thing that you keep forever & pass down for generations.

I will nominate my slug lovey plushies for this category because it is a design that my son inspired when he was an infant. The antennae are made with organic fleece and tied in a knot for teething. But are also handy to use to drag and pet - and to use as a handle. My son won't go to bed with out his (and he is 3 now). They stand the test of time for sure. I'm lucky enough to hear wonderful stories about these little critters from families too. http://www.etsy.com/listing/67255660/ditte-slug-lovey-plush-marimekko-fabric
