All of my cork creations are handmade with recycled wine corks. In this particular wreath I hand pick the corks which show the wine stains, the chips, gouges, & cork screw holes which gives the wreath lots of character. Each cork is hand picked for color and texture to give the wreath a natural look.

I designed them from the scraps of old sweater arms back in 2007, and have shared them on my blog each fall since - which has inspired countless others to create them, too! I'd also like to nominate a joint project created by my husband and I for our business, 'Retreat'. He salvaged a baby grand piano carcass and rebuilt it - as a BAR! When he was done, I covered it with vintage piano player music (appropriate, yes?!) and vintage sheet music. The resulting 'Piano Bar' debuted at Farm Chicks in 2009 to rave reviews and went viral on blogs. She's a one of a kind work of art, and the star of our living room now!
