where would you travel to?
where would you go?
if you could go anywhere.

mine would be a 2 year trip around the world with my little family.
of course. that's a given. but without that... where have you always longed to travel to and see and explore? or where have you been that you'd love to see more of? i'm pretty lucky that i've already been to quite a few of the places i've always dreamed of seeing. but the list remains long of where to see next!

here are my top 3 places i dream to visit:

3. the andaman coast beaches, thailand

i've been fortunate to have spent a wonderful wonderful year in this location, but i'd love to travel back with my little family now. building sandcastles on those most beautiful beaches & snorkling in that blue blue sea with little rikrak would be a delight!

okay! so i've confessed!

so there's my choice for my top 3 places i'd love to travel to!

now... let's snuggle into our cozy sleeping bags, open another bag of sour cream & onion chips, turn on some classic madonna, giggle & whisper and hear yours!

    3) Angkor Wat, Cambodia

and to have a perfect date to travel with in each!!!!!!!!!!!!! :>

  3. What places DON'T I dream to travel to??????

    But okay. THREE!

+ Stratford-Upon-Avon, where Shakespeare was born!

    + the Grand Canyon. I can't believe I haven't been there yet!!!!!

+ Rome, Italy. I've been there twice already, but there is always more to see!!!!!

  4. oohh yummy, sourcream & onion .. my favorite!

Anytime I think of travel my #1 spot instantly pops in to my mind. My hubby and I spent the most amazing time there on our honeymoon over 7 years ago and we both still list it as our top place to be ... and now we want to share it with our children!
My #2 spot is also somewhere I've been before but could never get bored with .. so many wonderful memoires and still so many new things to do.
And finally, my #3 spot is not somewhere I've been but a spot that my mother and I have dreamed of visting together since I was a little kid. We haven't made it yet but I think a visit is closer in our future than ever before :)

    1. Palma de Mallorca, Spain
    2. Paris, France
    3. Norway

  5. Well, basically everywhere. But my wishlist is:
    1) Eastern Turkey (I want to see the biblical mount of Ararat, where Noah's Ark is supposed to be)
    2) Paris forever (did you know that the biggest flea market of Europe is in Paris? :-)
3)Nepal and China: Tibet and Sechuan county

  6. I love your slumber parties! :D

I've never been to Europe, so it would be hard to narrow it down to just a few...

    1) France - hubs and I someday hope to take a tour from Paris to the Loire to Bordeaux. Maybe for our 10 year anniversary?!
    2) the Galapagos... we've gotten as far as looking into the cost of it!
    3) the Netherlands, to see some of the hubs' ancestral history

  7. Your slumber parties are so much FUN! There are so many places I long to go, but I guess the top 3 are:

Romania (the castles! The lakes! the mountains! Dracula!)

Japan (I think I would need at least a month, because I'd want to explore the cities and the country)

New Zealand (again, I'd probably need a month)

And I would love love love to go back to Iceland and the UK someday to show my sweetie around.

  8. Only three? Okay...
1)Sicily (to see where we came from)
2)Costa Rica (to visit my lil' sis and big bro)
3)United Kingdom (to see the settings of all my favorite novels)

  9. hmmm, ms. rikrak, I'd love to go with you on all those trips, too. you know that. kyoto, absolutely. back to thailand for sure. but how about one of these fine locals for us and our little man. we can go there after greece!:

    1. back to Siem Reap, again, to show him those big roots roping around the temple walls.

    2. Lhasa and the Tibetan plateau.

    3. that good old American desert I've been wanting to see for years now.

    love, mr rikrak

  10. We have to choose ONLY 3 places??? Damn... it's so hard!!! I'll try :o)

    1- Australia (all Australia)
    2- Perou
    3- Paris

And why no one want to visit Québec City (Canada)?? :o)

  11. Having been to mexico recently, the travel bug has bitten me. Bali is at the top of that list. I've always wanted to go and would love to kayak from island to island. I hear Italy is amazing and laid back. I actually love the idea of moving there more, but we'll see. Last but not least is Tahiti. My boyfriend is in love with the place after vacationing there a few years ago and has piqued my interest. Sounds like fun!

  12. Several years ago, my husband & I discoverred New England & fell in love with the area.
Since then, twice a year, spring & fall, we pack our bags & drive to Kennebunkport, Maine (with an overnight stay in Boston)
It is one of the most beautiful spots in this world & there is no place I would rather travel.

  13. Three places I have not yet visited but would like to:

    1. Iceland
    2. Scotland
    3. Faroe Islands

Three places I would like to return to:

    1. Argentina
    2. Wales
    3. Puerto Rico

  14. Oooh I've never been to one of your slumber it!

    1) St. Petersburg and Moscow, Russia
    2) Oswiecim, Poland
    3) Banff, Alberta, Canada

  15. Right now I just dream about relaxing and being warm...

    1. Hawaii
    2. Jamaica (where we honeymooned...)
    3. and I'd like to visit my buddy in AZ...he's lived there almost 5 years and I have yet to visit...bad friend...

  16. So many choices, only 3? Hmmm...

Well, I'd have to say Iceland would be in my top 3. I was an exchange student in my past life and it was on my list even then.

Bhutan, one of the happiest places in the world! Plus I could sneak a peak at Everest ( I've always wanted to see it). :)

    And... Antarctica

Wow, It seems I like cold and desolate places, LOL I wonder what that says about me??

  17. Hmmm how to pick just 3?
    1. Mongolia- well the whole silk route but that is more than one country.
    2. Bhutan
    3. Iceland

I would also like to return to Cambodia, we wee there for the millenium and got married in siem reap/Angkor wat and would love to take my son to see it.

  18. *I want to take a Mediterranean Cruise - the kind that stops in Istanbul, somewhere in Greece and Italy, and Egypt... do they have cruises like that?

*Austria (my in-laws live there, and my husband spent several years as a kid there)

*Australia & New Zealand - they seem so beautiful & fun!

  19. Africa, Australia, Greece - I know, very general...

  20. There are many places I would love to see and I am tempted to say the longest standing yearnings...
but recently I have met some of the neatest gals via Etsy and Twitter and I would love to visit them in...
    and Canada
    and the list goes on....

  21. oh these are such wonderful spots! i'd love to see all of these fun places, too!
