ReplyDeleterikrak, today is the perfect day for your question. a wonderful friend sent me this video: http://tinyurl.com/632adt
ReplyDeletei will be forever inspired by it.
thanks for the opportunity to share.
Great little giveaway rikrak!
ReplyDeleteMy children have always been and forever will be my inspiration. I'm an only child myself, watching 3 children grow has been awe inspiring. The innocence of thier views on life help me to stay grounded. My 14 yr old is what inspired me to open my etsy shop....she made me her own handmade card and inside wrote....mom your cards are beautiful, you have to GO FOR IT....tons of people would love to buy them!
My inspiration is my mother.
ReplyDeleteShe was a single mom for a time and managed to buy a house (with no support from my father) during this time. Then she took another chance on love and met and married a wonderful man (whom I am proud to call "dad"). She went on to continue her education well into her 40's, obtained her Master's of Education and became the first Aboriginal woman Vice Principal in our local school district. Now, although suffering years with diabetes and heart disease (she is waiting for by-pass surgery) her zest for life continues. As well, her faith in what the Creator has planned for her is comforting to those of us who may fear for her future.
My mother has instilled in me a good work ethic, self-worth, pride in my Aboriginal heritage, joy in being a woman, faith, the power of love, a love of learning. And finally, gratitude for the undying and unconditional love of a mother.
firstmost my daughter. then my grammas memory and nature.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many people in different areas of my life who inspire me in different ways. But I am going to have to say my children make me strive to be a better person every single day :-)
ReplyDeleteMany people inspire me but recently I've been thinking of my late mother-in-law, who, in her 80's, was still doing so much volunteer work and making Project Linus quilts for sick kids.
ReplyDeleteSo on ML King day, which is supposed to be a day of service, I worked on Project Linus quilts in her memory.
rikrak, YOU inspire me! You are so creative with your own work; you are so kind to others and wonderfully generous with your support and encouragement! Keep it up :D
ReplyDeleteElderly women really inspire me. so strong, yet so fragile, so much knowledge, and such grace. My grama rocks.
ReplyDeleteAll the creative people on flickr inspire me! I love looking at all the different creations. So much talent out there. To me that's a wonderful source of inspiration!

Martha Stewart inspires me to become an expert in all crafts and using my hands. I want to learn how to perfect my baking(I'm a pastry chef) and how to really cook, and use a sewing machine, and know everything about each and every craft. It's all because of her.
ReplyDeleteI look up to her as someone who knows what they are doing, and stands up for herself when needed to.
She is someone I will always be inspired by.
