  1. I nominate Julie of Joy's Hope. She has done some incredible things with her Etsy shop and blog-motivating others to donate handmade and spending hours crafting to raise money for others. She is truly the most unselfish crafty lady around. Some of her recent projects have been the Cora Playground Fund, which she headed up to raise money for a young family who had lost their almost 1 year old daughter and just last month she got a project started that raised enough money for 2 wells to be build in Africa!! She is remarkable-I have no idea how she finds the time!!

  2. I would like to nominate Inger from, because she initated a superlovely game in the European Street Team on Etsy.
The game is called Sales Fairy Game, and you can read more about it here:

  3. I'd like to nominate Spike Dennis for his one man 'Secret Mission' to cheer up my hometown; Cardiff >>

He has been anonymously depositing plush toys around the city for over a year according to his blog and although his mission might not be the most world changing it's a brilliant example of the ways in which we could all spend just a bit of time to bring more smiles to the world through a little handmade kindness.

  4. I would like to nominate Inger from, because she initated a superlovely game in the European Street Team on Etsy.

  5. I would like to nominate Inger from, because she initated a superlovely game in the European Street Team on Etsy.

I nominate the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative. Ami Simms started this program to sell and auction handmade quilts to raise money to fund research about Alzheimer's.

  7. I,too, would like to nominate Inger from for starting the brilliant Sales Fairy Game for the European Street Team on Etsy.
    Read more about it here:

The game fostered real team spirit and brought a smile to everyone's face!

    Thank you Inger :)

  8. I would like to nominate Etsy French Handmade team. All members are so sweet, we feel so much good with all! It's great for me to communicate in french with crafters that come everywhere around the world!!! (my english is difficult...)
    Come and see us here:
    Our blog:

  9. The first person who came to mind is Julie from Joy's Hope.

She takes amazing journeys through life always stopping to help others. A true inspiration!

    Good Luck

  12. this is easy! it's the Etsy S.N.E.A.K. Team:

I love the idea behind this team and they surprise people twice a week with the gift of appreciation (and sometimes the very first sales they've ever had too;)

  13. I would like to nominate Lucy from Attic 24
She's teaching blogland to crochet again and shares wonderfull patterns. Besides she makes you smile and anjoy the simple things in life.

  14. I'd like to nominate the etsy team "Trashion" - for making something beautiful from long forgotten, cast away items.

  15. The Resurrection Fern blog inspires me more than any other that I can think of. She inspires so many with public art, but she is also a family physician in a rural community, one who even does house calls!

  16. I nominate Kerry at Penny Dog. Her products are fantastic and a favourite with lots of people, especially me. With every piece sold a £1 goes to the Retired Greyhound Trust. A great charity and I know it will be close to her heart as she owns 2 greyhounds herself.
    Here is her blog:

  17. Etsy's Storque Series "Crativism" is great because it shows how crafter's are helping out in their communities!

  18. I would like to nominate Elsie Flannigan of Red VElvet Art. Not only is she constantly sharing her gift, giving freebies in her online classes, she recently auctioned off this painting for Haiti Relief Efforts:

It's beautiful and it went for a few hundred dollars for Haiti Relief!

  19. I have to say this seems to be the group that most impressed me in light of the recent events in Haiti.[0]=tags&includes[1]=title

  20. I want to nominate Erika Price

All of her profits are donated to charity, plus she makes just lovely jewelry and is a great inspiration to the JET team!

  21. I'd like to nominate Etsy Project Embrace, a coalition of artists whose main purpose is to create awareness and support for people who have been diagnosed with cancer. Our inspiration is Laura Slocum, a fellow Etsian who has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Members donate a portion of their sales to the American Cancer Society. The group is also a support system for so many lives touched in some way by cancer.

  22. I Nominate littereddoor her little houses are great. I love the ornaments they are so cute they make you smile.

  26. I need to second the nomination for Craft Hope. They've done something wonderful in such a short time!

  27. Definitely all of the folks behind the Craft Hope for Haiti Etsy shop! They have organized and been running non-stop for weeks, and contine to raise thouands of dollars for Doctors Without Borders.

  28. RachelPETdesign's pink kitty pillow, with 10% going to

  29. I'd like to nominate HeartsforHaiti.Etsy.Com! It's a group of Etsy artists that have donated items where almost 100% of the sale (-Etsy and paypal fees) go to Doctors without Borders. It's through the wonderful generosity of Hundreds of Etsy Artists that HeartsforHaiti has raised over $23,000!!!!

  30. I'd like to nominate the Queer Etsy Street Team of which I am a part for their recent implementation of a team store. Right now all proceeds from the store go to benefit Haiti and in the coming months we will also be supporting queer charities. Members of the team donate items to the store and ship them to customers at the members' personal expense.

  31. I love reading about Lucy's colorful world in Attic 24. Her photos and snippets of her life are always uplifting, even when she's not having a great day. Her blog conveys the belief that it's the little things in life that really count, and she often shares recipes, craft ideas, and peaceful moments.
