thanks so much to our fabulous judge for this event, the brilliant Jaime Derringer, founder & editor of design milk.what our judge had to say about the nominations: `When I sat down with the task of narrowing down what seemed like a million nominees in the category of innovative handmade design I asked myself a question. No, not “Could I make that?” but instead “Could I come up with the idea to make that?”
What truly makes these 10 nominees different is the creativity and uniqueness of their idea and execution. My personal style leans toward the modern, but I can appreciate and respect the time an effort it takes to make something with your own two hands. While all of the nominees were well executed, I think that these nominees represent the most original. Happy voting!
