thanks so much to our fabulous judge for this event, the wonderful Dana Willard of the popular DIY sewing, design, and photography blog--MADE. Her designs have been featured in multiple
sewing books, print magazines, and online creative sites. Her first book, Fabrics A to Z,
publishes in April and outlines everything you'll ever need to
know about fabric. {p.s. AND... she's a 2011 GOLD medal winner in this event! woohoo!}
"Narrowing the list down to only 10 is hard
work!...and mostly because I found myself "wasting time", scrolling
back and back and back through their blog archives, ohhhing and ahhhing
over the cool things these women have made (and quickly adding their
sites to my google reader). Like I need more cool blogs to check in on.
Yes, yes I do.
So here are my top 10 from the list of nominees.
My judging was based on some simple criteria:
Does this site make me want to keep scrolling back to see more?
Do I want to Pin what I see?
Do I feel inspired?
Yes, yes I do.

A Beautiful Mess:
Who doesn't LOVE this site? If you've never been there you might be living under a rock.
Sorry. No hard feelings. But really....if the name doesn't ring a bell, run over now. Basically....Blonde sister + Brunette sister + rad style + cool ideas = very addictive blog.

I'm not a quilter so it takes the right quilting blog to suck me in. Enter Summersville. Beautiful colors, interesting designs, and can I please have a yard of every fabric in her new line? This site is colorfully yummy.

Running with Scissors:
Jessica might have more sewing energy than most people I know. When she's not making unique clothing for her kids, she's busy competing and winning sewing competitions. Her "Trip to Granny's" ensemble is spectacular.
