I have been living in Edinburgh for about 10 years and I didn't know our twin city was Vancouver either. I live in the centre of Edinburgh with amazing views of the skyline from Calton Hill to the Castle. It is great to read all these lovely things about Edinburgh because it so easy to take its beauty for granted.

I'm afraid I have never been to Vancouver. I got as far as the Canadian border where my boyfriend was told that if he entered Canada he may not be allowed back into the US (visa problems). So closest we got was a night in Bellingham, Washington.13threadshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14510286491968412357noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3075572792392160126.post-18106873704155998102010-02-24T10:45:44.644-05:002010-02-24T10:45:44.644-05:00Ooo, thank you so much for including my NOM NOM NO...Ooo, thank you so much for including my NOM NOM NOM apron amongst your fabulous collection of handmade goodies from Edinburgh & Vancouver ;-) Despite living in Edinburgh for 10 years, I'd no idea Vancouver was our twin city - what a fantastic excuse to get to know more about the place (& hopefully visit someday..)! My favourite thing about Edinburgh is all the green spaces - it's one of the few cities I've experienced where you can be in the middle of the city yet truly feel you are in the middle of the countryside. Blackford Glen, Mortonhall, The Braids, The Meadows & of course Arthur's Seat & Holyrood Park are some of the lovely green spaces within the city that I love to spend time in. Thanks again for the feature! LOL!!!
it took me an exhausting 2hrs. to climb..when I got to the top I realised my mistake (DOH!) and it took me a mere 10 mintutes to run down to the bottom. I felt like such a fool, but I got more excercise than anyone up there. :) hahaha! what a tourist I was/am!!

Hooray rikrak for highlighting 2 very beautiful cities. xoxo thank you!tanisalexishttp://tanisalexis.etsy.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3075572792392160126.post-167983744172469012010-02-24T10:32:24.578-05:002010-02-24T10:32:24.578-05:00Lovely!
